Megruli Alilo

The Megruli Alilo comes from the Republic of Georgia. Like many Georgian songs, it’s beautiful and boisterous! It starts with a single voice, joyfully singing Hallelujiah (Alilo) and inviting everyone to join in. As VP sings it, the translation is:

  1. December 25, on Christmas, Christ was born.
  2. Let us rejoice in the new year; with God, you have been brought rest.
  3. Rejoice on the day of Christ’s birth; we are evangelists of Christ’s birth.
